About

IPOCH brings together the Schools of Engineering, Computer Science and Medicine to develop the next generation of biomedical researchers. PGRs have access to the combined research strengths, training expertise and resources of the three research-intensive schools with opportunities to participate in interdisciplinarity and ‘team science’. The PhD projects will be supported by each of the Schools and EPSRC and will be co-supervised by each of the partner Schools, allowing students to join existing and emerging research partnerships.

  • Healthcare technologies, to accelerate the translational or research to healthcare applications (Healthcare Technologies Grand Challenges and Cross-cutting research capabilities).

  • Digital Economy, to support the transformational impact of digital applications and interconnected digital ecosystems in healthcare.
